Every post you've written, whether it went out, is waiting, or got turned down.
14 months of building. One whiteboard that never got erased. It says: "the scheduler is the easy 10%." Every time we were tempted to build another calendar view, someone pointed at it. What's on your never-erase whiteboard? #buildinpublic #founderlife #startuplife #productdesign

Week 34: approval gate
22 discovery calls. Here's the number that reorganized our roadmap: 19 of 22 founders decide what to post the morning they post it. Not the week before. Not from a calendar. That morning, based on whatever they happened to read. We'd spent two months building a better calendar view. The calendar was never the constraint. The constraint is that there is no repeatable step between "I noticed something interesting" and "here is a post about it." That step is just vibes and a Tuesday. So we shipped signals instead. A step that reads your market and hands you eight specific findings, with the source and the quote attached, ranked by how strong the evidence is. You still write the post. You just don't start from nothing. What's the number that changed your roadmap?
Week 34: 22 discovery calls
"Chronomial tripled our inbound in 90 days." Alina Cheng, COO, Ridgeline Ops Ridgeline went from 6 posts a month to 31, and from 3 demo requests to 11. Their whole social operation now takes nine minutes a week. See what a broadcast could do for your team. Book a demo at chronomial.com/demo.
Ridgeline: quote card copy
Ridgeline Ops is four people. Nobody's job title contains the word "marketing." Before Chronomial they posted 6 times a month, all of it written by their COO on Sunday nights. Since May: 31 posts a month across four channels, and Sunday nights are free. The part that surprised me wasn't the volume. It was this, from their COO, Alina Cheng: "I stopped writing posts and started approving them. It's a completely different job. Approving takes me nine minutes on Monday. Writing took four hours on Sunday." One broadcast runs every Monday at 6am. It reads their market, pulls the signals, drafts everything, and stops. Alina reads, kills the two that miss, edits one, approves the rest. Nine minutes. Inbound demo requests went from 3/month to 11/month over the same period. I'm not going to claim all of that is the posting. They also raised a seed round in June. But they'd tell you the posting is why anyone knew to care. Full story in the comments.
Ridgeline case study: main post
Nobody quits their social tool because scheduling is hard. They quit because on Tuesday morning they open it, see seven empty slots, and close it. The blank page is the churn mechanism. Everything else is UI.
Week 33: the blank page tax
Six nodes. One campaign. Zero blank pages. Swipe to see a real Chronomial broadcast, start to finish: 1 · Research: we read 400 posts about your market 2 · Signals: the 8 findings actually worth a post 3 · Angles: 3 ways to say each one 4 · Drafts: written per channel, not copy-pasted 5 · Approve: nothing ships without you 6 · Publish: everywhere at once Built for founders and two-person growth teams who don't have a content strategist and shouldn't need one. Launch: canvas carousel
Buffer shipped AI Repurpose today. It rewrites your post for other channels in one click. We've had this since day one, and ours is better because it actually understands your brand voice instead of just shortening the text. Buffer users: you're paying $120/yr for a feature we give away.
Teardown: Buffer AI Repurpose response
We built Chronomial because the scheduler was never the hard part. The hard part is the 40 minutes before you open the scheduler, staring at an empty box, trying to remember what you noticed this week. Chronomial is a canvas. You wire up: research → signals → angles → drafts → your approval → publish. Turn signals into campaigns. Live today.
Launch day thread: opener
We interviewed 22 seed-stage founders about their social workflow. 19 told us the same thing, almost word for word: "I don't have a content calendar problem. I have a 'what am I even talking about this week' problem." Every tool in this category starts at the calendar. Buffer, Hootsuite, Later, Planable. They all assume you already know what you're posting. The scheduling is the easy 10%. So we built the other 90%. Chronomial is a visual canvas where you wire a broadcast: research a market, pull out the signals worth talking about, turn each one into an angle, draft it per channel, and then, this part matters, stop. A human approves before anything ships. Not autopilot. A research team that happens to be fast. We're live today. Turn signals into campaigns.
Launch: founder note
hot take: your social tool doesn't have a scheduling problem, it has a "what do I even post" problem we spent 14 months on the part before the calendar chronomial's live 🎛
Launch: Threads short take
Today we're launching Chronomial. It's a visual workspace for social media operations. You build a flowchart, we call it a broadcast, that researches your market, surfaces the findings worth talking about, turns them into campaign angles, and drafts posts for each channel you publish to. Then it pauses and waits for you. Nothing goes out without a human approving it. We built it for founders and small growth teams who are doing this work between four other jobs. Free while you're building your first broadcast. Details at chronomial.com.
Launch: Facebook announcement
Hootsuite pulled its $99 Standard plan out of self-serve on Aug 4. Same three seats now quote at $249/mo. No migration path, 30 days notice. If your renewal is in Q4, that's a 2.5x you didn't budget for. We'll import your queue for free. No sales call.
Teardown: Hootsuite plan retirement
Later moved CSV analytics export behind its Advanced plan on July 27. If you're an agency, you found out when you sat down to build a client report and the button was gone. The support thread on this has 140+ replies, almost all agencies asking for a workaround. Here's our position, and it's not a clever one: your data is your data. CSV export is on every Chronomial plan including the free one. Post-level, campaign-level, date-ranged. No gate, no upsell modal, no "contact sales for reporting." Charging for the door out of your own analytics is a retention tactic, not a feature. It works right up until renewal. If you're rebuilding a client report this week, we'll help you port the history. Comment and I'll send the importer.
